Málaga
Málaga is a port city on the Costa del Sol coast in Andalusia
(Spanish: Andalucía),
Spain.
As of
2006,
Málaga had an estimated population of 558,287.
The city was originally founded as Malaka, at about 1000 BC. The name Malaka means
"salt", and was presumably chosen because fish were salted near the harbor.
